The Sacred Heart Seniors Secret Santa Soiree was postponed due to inclement weather but now will be celebrated on Monday, December 9th at 1 PM in the Wachter Room. It will be a Secret Santa Soiree with fun, food and secret activities that only Santa knows about! So put on your Christmas Cheer and come out and see what Santa has in store for you!

The annual Parish Christmas Breakfast will be held on Sunday, December 15th, 8:30 AM until 1 PM in the Sacred Heart School Gym. Come enjoy a great breakfast with family & friends that includes pancakes, scrambled eggs and sausage, plus a variety of hot and cold beverages! This is a parish-wide event open to both Sacred Heart and Holy Rosary parishes. Tickets will be sold at the door – $3 Children; $4 Adults; or just $10 for the entire family!

Buy a $15 cookie tray and feed 375 starving children. The Mini Vinnies will be selling cookie trays to support The Cookie Sale to Combat World Hunger. The cookie trays make wonderful hostess gifts and affordable gifts for friends and colleagues. The cookie trays are only $15 each and have 24 cookies, chocolates and are beautifully gift wrapped. Last year’s sale provided food for 4.2 million children as part of Cross Catholic Outreach’s school feeding program in Haiti. Because the cookies are great tasting and the proceeds do so much good, over 57 tons of trays of cookies have been sold so far. Please buy a tray or two next weekend after all the Masses.

Attention Sacred Heart School and Parish children, Grades K-6: come and be a part of the Christmas Eve Children’s Choir! Practices will be held in the church, from 1 – 2 PM on Sundays, December 1, 15 and 22. Participants must make every effort to attend each practice. No registration required. If your child has a favorite religious Christmas song that they would like to suggest for our program, please email the title to Rose Kennedy for consideration. For more information, please contact Rose Kennedy, (215) 292-4985 or

The “Giving Tree” project for 2019 is underway.  Our church family is asked to share in the “spirit of giving” that Christmas brings, to help Lifeline of Berks County to replenish their pantry which serves mothers, babies, and their families throughout the coming year.  Consider how you can share your joy in this Holy season.  Please choose a tag containing a needed baby item from the “Giving Tree”.  Bring the new, unwrapped, item and place it around the tree.  Your generous donation will be sent to Lifeline at the end of the Advent season.

Mark your calendars for Thursday, December 5th from 6 to 9 PM in the school gym for our Parish Bazaar Preview Party. $10 donation at the door buys you a night of food, drinks, fellowship and fun. Come bid on our fantastic silent auction items and our student’s artwork.

Every Tuesday the real presence of Jesus is in the Church/Chapel for the entire day beginning after 8 AM Mass till 10 PM. Please take time from your busy schedule to spend an hour or a half hour with Jesus. Many blessings have been received and prayers answered after time was spent in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament.
If you can commit one hour or ½ hour a week or once a month, your presence would be greatly appreciated. Please prayerfully consider sharing your time with our Lord. If you would like more information, please call Bonnie Batdorf at (610) 372-4010.
